As temperatures rise, the glaciers fade,
As glaciers fade, new waters invade.
As waters rise, the coastlines retreat,
As coastlines retreat, conflicts exceed.

As temperatures rise, the drylands expand,
As drylands expand, the crops leave the land.
As crops disappear, the fields yield less,
As fields yield less, we are in a mess.

As temperatures rise, the forests grow dry,
As forests grow dry, the wildfires climb high.
As wildfires spread, the habitats fall,
As habitats fall, fewer creatures remain at all.

As temperatures rise, the cities grow hot,
As cities grow hot, safe shelter is sought.
As heatwaves increase, the vulnerable strain,
As people seek refuge, xenophobia remains.

As temperatures rise, our world starts to change,
As our world changes, our lives rearrange.
What happens to Earth happens to us too:
The places we live depend on what we do.
