Funky Fireside

Autor: Andreas Hollinek

Rain is tapping softly on the window pane,
Golden leaves are dancing in the autumn rain,
But inside the room, the world feels warm and wide,
Funky fireside!

Wind is blowing branches underneath the moon,
Cold November evenings settling in too soon,
But we’ve got a blanket and a place to hide,
Funky fireside!

Snowflakes fill the garden like a field of stars,
Frost is drawing pictures on the window bars,
Yet the fire keeps glowing with a golden pride,
Funky fireside!

Coffee in our hands and a record spinning low,
Stories getting longer as the embers glow,
No need to hurry, no need to run or ride,
Funky fireside!

So let the storm keep singing, let the cold winds blow,
We’ll stay here together while the fire burns low,
Knowing home is where our memories reside,
Funky fireside!
